Useful details

CGPA = sum of (semester GPA × semester credits) ÷ total credits. Averaging semester GPAs without weighting is only correct when every semester has the same number of credits. Your institution may treat repeats differently.

Can I just average my semester GPAs?

Only if every semester has equal credits. This calculator weights each semester by its credit total.
